How to play
The grid is divided into outlined blocks. A block of four squares holds the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 exactly once; a block of three holds 1, 2 and 3. The block's size tells you which numbers belong in it.
No two equal numbers may touch, including diagonally. A number therefore rules out its own value in all eight surrounding squares, which is what makes the puzzle move.

Strategy
Work the ones first. Every block contains a 1, and each 1 forbids a 1 in all eight neighbors. Placing the 1s across a board usually settles several blocks outright before you touch any larger number.
Then use the largest number in each block. A block of five is the only place a 5 can appear nearby, so a 5 in one block pushes the 5 of an adjacent block into a small set of remaining squares.
When a block has two squares left and two numbers left, check both against the diagonal rule before choosing. The touching constraint resolves those pairs far more often than the block rule alone.
Difficulty and variants
Easy is a 5x5 grid with blocks of at most four; medium moves to 6x6; hard is a 7x7 with blocks up to five and the fewest givens. Larger blocks mean higher numbers, and higher numbers travel further under the touching rule.

Is suguru the same as Tectonic?
Yes. Suguru, Tectonic and Number Blocks are the same puzzle under different publishers' names.
How is suguru different from sudoku?
Sudoku constrains rows, columns and boxes. Suguru constrains irregular blocks plus every touching square, including diagonals, which sudoku ignores entirely.
Do suguru puzzles have one answer?
Every board here is checked after generation to confirm exactly one arrangement satisfies the rules.
